Last year the patients treated in mobile medical unit are: Homeopathy-1960 cases and Allopathy- 8273 case. The unit caters to the medical needs of 10 to 12 villages in and around Sargachi. The poor and distressed people of Charmahula, Sungani, Raypara, Hasanpur, Dadpur etc. villages are receiving medical treatment through this mobile medical unit on every Sundays & Thursdays of every week.

The medical services rendered by the Ashrama through this unit have been of immense help and importance to the people of this district.

The first organized relief work of the Ramakrishna Mission was started by Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj just two weeks after the Ramakrishna Mission was founded by Swami Vivekananda on 1st May 1897. Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj drew inspiration for his humanitarian services primarily from Sri Ramakrishna himself. The Master used to say, ‘If God can be worshipped in an image, can He not be worshipped in a living person?’ Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj literally transformed relief and rehabilitation into acts of worship.

This center resumed its glorious journey through the relief given to the famine victim villagers in 1897. Since then, every year some kind of relief work is being done during natural calamities like flood, drought, fire etc. for the people of this area..
